With not even a dozen people within the U.S. taking covid seriously, it's going to be a hell of a long time til it's safe to go outside. With that in mind, some of the best types of video games to waste your time on is Rpgs. typically they have a heavy narrative focus and take a long time to beat. So i've decided to present a list of the best Rpgs of this generation (Switch, PS4, and Xbox One). However, it would be a disservice to pollute this list with mere opinion, instead of the cold hard truth. That being said i used a mathematical formula to prove the games on this list. This is the same formula from me finding the definitive list of best switch games, so the explanation for the formula and the formula itsself can be found there.

Final Fantasy 7 (Original) (Ps4/Switch) 206
Persona 5 Royal (Ps4) 200
Persona 4 Golden (Steam) 200
Yakuza 0 (Ps4/Xbo) 192
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch) 189
Final Fantsy X/ X-2 remaster (Ps4/Switch) 189
NieR:Automata Game of the Yorha Edition (Ps4/Xbo) 187
Final Fantasy XII (Ps4/Switch) 187
Final Fantasy IX (PS4/Switch) 187
Divinity Original Sin II DE (Ps4/Switch/Xbo) 185
Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition (Switch) 182
Bug Fables (Switch/Ps4) 182
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (Switch) 181
Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition (Ps4/Xbo) 181
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch) 179
Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Switch) 177

However, this formula takes into account the price, and with the price constantly shifting on all platforms that aren't Switch, its possible any of these rankings could change at a moments notice.

In addition, the full list of games tested that arent on the list are: Witcher 3, Yakuza 6, Yakuza Remastered Collection, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Skyrim, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Astral Chain, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, Pokemon Sword, and Pokemon Shield.
