The Stars Have Finally Aligned...

Update: lol nevermind

In just a few days, on Tuesday, June 23rd, New Game Plus Expo will kick off with many companies showing whats to come for their company, specifically in the west. Several large companies will be there including Sega, SNK, Atlus, Koei Techmo, Wayforward, Nis America, Grasshopper Manufacture, Inti Creates, alongside several others.

However for me, a Persona fan, three companies stick out: Sega, Atlus and Koei Techmo. As most Persona fans know, Persona 5 Scramble, a story sequel to Persona 5 (vanilla) and a dynasty warriors like spin-off released back in Februrary for Japan, with a general Asian release this month, in June. P5S was codeveloped by Atlus' P-Studio (the team that has developed all mainline persona games) and Koei Techmo's Omega Force Studio (the team known for the Dynasty Warriors series), with Sega, the parent company to Atlus, publishing the game.

With these three studios attending NG+ Expo it seems likely that Persona 5 Scramble will be announced for the west, but thats not all.

In the post-showcase Twitch stream graphic that have been constantly updated on the New Game Plus Expo Twitter account, it shows that Sega and Atlus are there with one timeslot, implying that both companies share the same announcement for during the show, which will be shown off further indepth afterwards. And with Koei Techmo not having a post-showcase timeslot, it seems like they wont have anything big enough to show on their own, and are there primarily because of the co-development of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

In addition to that, there's one more detail, which could easily be brushed off as over-speculation. This being the timing between Japanese and western releases for other Persona games, with the gap in Persona 5 Vanilla being 8 months (September 2016 - April 2017), Persona 5 Royal being 6 months (October 2019 - March 2020). Persona 5 Scramble's Japanese to western gap being atleast 5+ months seems reasonable and in the norm. Which this even allows us to speculate the release date of Persona 5 Scramble around August.
